Lexis Digital Library for the Public

This guide provides an overview of the Lexis Digital Library and how the public can gain access to it.

What is the Lexis Digital Library?

The Lexis Digital Library (LDL) is a collection of legal e-books that you may check out to read in your computer's web browser or through an online app (both iOS and Android apps are available). More specifically, the Nevada Supreme Court's LDL subscription includes dozens of legal treatises and primary law sources (e.g., statutes and court rules). Below are some of the titles available, but this is by no means an exhaustive list:

  • Nevada Civil Practice Manual
  • Michie's Nevada Revised Statutes Annotated
  • Larson's on Workers' Compensation
  • Corbin on Contracts
  • Moore's Federal Practice
  • Family Law & Practice
  • Medical Malpractice
  • Construction Law
  • New Appleman on Insurance Law
  • Powell on Real Property
  • Page on the Law of Wills
  • Punitive Damages

Identifying Titles in the Lexis Digital Library

There are a few paths to access content on the Lexis Digital Library (LDL).

The first is from the LDL site itself. Once you have logged in, you can search for books by jurisdiction or practice area.

The second option is from the Law Library's online catalog

The third option is from the Law Library's Treatise Guide. This guide was created by NSCLL staff to organize by subject the most important books in our collection (print and online).
