U.S. Reports in the Nevada Supreme Court Law Library

The United States Reports is the official publication for opinions written by the Supreme Court of the United States. For more information on how to access the U.S. Reports online and in print, please review the boxes and links below.

Finding U.S. Reports Online

The U.S. Reports, including preliminary prints and slip opinions, are available online through HeinOnline and the U.S. Government Publishing Office. Earlier versions of the U.S. Reports are also available online through the Library of Congress.

Patrons can access HeinOnline when in-person at the law library in Carson City. 


U.S. Government Publishing Office

The U.S. Government Publishing Office is responsible for publishing the U.S. Reports. You can find more recent versions of opinions for free on their website.


Library of Congress

The Library of Congress has free, digital copies of earlier volumes of the United States Reports. You can view the collection by volume, authoring justice, and major case topic.

Finding U.S. Reports in Print

Nevada Supreme Court Law Library 

The Nevada Supreme Court Law Library has bound volumes of the U.S. Reports from volume 1 to volume 579. The law library also has preliminary prints from 2017 and print copies of slip opinions from 2018 to 2023.
