This guide is for lawyers, judges, and people handling their own family law cases. It helps you find the right books and resources for family law problems. Some of these resources are only available at the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library. If you have a library card from the law library, you can read family law eBooks through the LexisNexis Digital Law Library. There are 74 family law titles available, and you can also use VitalLaw resources at the library.

This guide is intended to help lawyers, Judges, and pro se/self-represented litigants find the legal research materials and resources they need for family law issues. Some of the print and eBook resources are only available onsite at the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library. 

Family Law Self-Help Center

From the Family Law Self-Help Center site,

"The Center provides the following services to self-represented litigants:

  • Provides legal information, educational materials, and training to self-represented litigants regarding court rules, court procedure, and various family law topics;
  • Assists with the identification and completion of legal forms;
  • Refers parties to other legal and non-legal community resources; and
  • Provides online forms and information on topics such as divorce, custody, domestic violence protection orders, guardianship, name changes, and other topics."
