The Law Library has an online catalog to assist you in locating specific books in our collection. The catalog is also helpful in identifying LexisNexis Digital Library e-books and electronic resources available in HeinOnline, PLI Plus, and VitalLaw (access to these latter resources is limited to onsite access only).
There is a list of Nolo Self-Help Materials in the online catalog to help you get started.
The library serves the Supreme Court, the Legislature, the Office of the Attorney General and other executive branch agencies, as well as the local bar and the public. You can borrow up to 10 items at a time for two weeks, with one automatic renewal allowed for each.
Nevada residents and Nevada attorneys are entitled to a library card. With a library card, patrons can check out titles in our collection that circulate and access online resources, including the Legal Information Resource Center, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books, and the LexisNexis Digital Library.

The National Consumer Law Center (NCLC), the nation's consumer law expert, is a non-profit dedicated to helping consumers, their advocates, and public policy makers use powerful and complex consumer laws on behalf of low-income and vulnerable Americans seeking economic justice. Their catalog consists of 21 consumer law treatises (print & eBook), often referred to as the “bibles of consumer law,” by consumer attorneys and those representing creditors and merchants, and include sample pleadings, practice aids, primary sources and advanced searching.

The LexisNexis Digital Library is a collection of legal e-books that you may check out and read on your tablet, computer's web browser, or through an online app (both iOS and Android apps are available). The Supreme Court of Nevada's LexisNexis Digital Library subscription includes hundreds of legal treatises and primary law sources (e.g., statutes and court rules). Available onsite at the law library and remotely with a library card.
Additionally, all LexisNexis Digital Library titles are in the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library Catalog. All titles are in the LexisNexis Digital Library collection, and many have print copies available at the law library.

The Legal Information Reference Center is an online database designed to assist self-represented litigants and the general public in legal matters of all kinds, including full text legal reference eBooks from top legal publishers, including Nolo, as well as thousands of state-specific legal forms for legal topics, such as bankruptcy, business law, family law, financial planning, property and real estate, wills and estate planning, and more. Available onsite at the law library or online with a library card (using a web browser or the EBSCO mobile app).

Index to Legal Periodicals & Books allows you to search the Retrospective collection (1908-1981) or ILP & Books Full Text (1994-current) to efficiently identify the most on point articles on your topic (not full text; your keywords must appear in the title, abstract, or author). The Access to Justice Commission was created under Nevada Supreme Court Rule 15 (SCR 15). Its purpose is to increase access to civil legal services for self-represented litigants and persons of limited means in Nevada.
The Nevada Legal Resources Directory was created by the Nevada Access for Justice Commission and includes contact information for self-help centers and legal services organizations throughout the state of Nevada.
The State Bar of Nevada created Legal Information Brochures for the public with information on select legal topics and are available in English and Spanish (Español).
The Nevada Supreme Court Law Library has created several Research Guides to assist library users, including self-represented litigants and the public, locate legal information and resources on legal topics, including How to Locate Nevada Law & Legal Resources, searching Nevada cases, the Nevada Eviction & Housing Guide, and more.

The 2nd edition has over 15K legal terms for your business and research use. Black's Law Dictionary, 11th edition (2019) is the current edition and available in print or online via Westlaw, accessible at the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library .
American Jurisprudence 2d (Am. Jur, 2d)
Provides an alphabetical arrangement of more than 400 legal topics or chapters. Many law libraries will have a complete and updated copy of Am. Jur. 2d located in their Reference Collections. It is also available online on Lexis and Westlaw and accessible at the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library.
Corpus Juris Secundum (C.J.S.)
C.J.S. is a national legal encyclopedia that provides state and federal coverage of legal topics from A to Z. General rules of law are summarized in blackletter law headings and expanded upon in the text. Many law libraries will have a complete and updated copy of C.J.S. located in their Reference Collections. It is also available online on Westlaw and accessible at the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library.
