The Nevada Supreme Court Law Library is here to help with legal research. You can visit the library in person from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except on state holidays. You can also chat online from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, call us at 775-684-1640, or email reference@nvcourts.nv.gov for help. The library has many resources, including legal books and online materials, and is open to the public for legal research. The librarians are here to assist with finding information and using the library’s resources.

NSCLL Mission Statement

The mission of the Nevada Supreme Court Law Library is to serve as a comprehensive current and archival resource for legal research conducted by the Justices and staff of the Nevada Supreme Court, the Judges and staff of the Nevada Court of Appeals, and the entire Nevada Judiciary. The Law Library’s collection and services supplement the in-house legal resources of the Office of the Attorney General and the Legislature. The Law Library also serves the citizens of Nevada, local governments, and the State Bar of Nevada.

While the library staff cannot fulfill extensive research requests, we can assist in finding information such as:

  • Law journal articles, cases, statutes, and regulations (with a citation)
  • Historic state and federal statutes
  • Additional resources available at the library in Carson City
