Use of the Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library's collections and facilities represents a tacit agreement by the patron to abide by all library policies.
The mission of the Nevada Supreme Court Law Library is to serve as a comprehensive current and archival resource for legal research conducted by the Justices and staff of the Nevada Supreme Court, as well as the Judges and staff of the Nevada Court of Appeals. The Law Library’s collection and services supplement the in-house legal resources of the Office of the Attorney General and the Legislature. The Law Library also serves the citizens of Nevada, local governments, and the private bar.
The librarians at the Nevada Supreme Court Library are here to help. While this guide offers links to online resources the Law Library can make available to you, we also have access to other online resources and print materials that may be of interest to you. Reach out to us via phone (775-684-1640) or walk-in Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, or chat from 9am-4pm, or email anytime (we will respond during normal busiiness hours). While the library staff cannot perform extensive research requests, we are able to help you find additional information in resources we have available in Carson City; and law journal articles, cases, statutes, and regulations, with a known citation. We also have access to historic state and federal statutes.
If you are in the Reno/Carson City area, we would love to see you in the library! We are open from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Please see this guide for more information about accessing the Law Library.
