The history of the statute will be at the end, contained within parentheses (and sometimes brackets, but these are representative of pre-NRS statutory compilations that were published before 1957, and would therefore not be helpful in legislative intent research). The history at the end of each statute indicates when the statute was first enacted, be it in the NRS or an earlier statutory compilation, as well as any subsequent amendments to that statute. The format of this history is the year and the page number of the statutes as published in the Statutes of Nevada.
For example, 2013 had amendments on both pages 225 and 3289 of the Statutes of Nevada (Nevada's legislative session laws). When you click on the page number, it will bring you to the bill that made these amendments. The language on page 225 was amended by Senate Bill 71. Take note of the year, whether the bill originated in the Senate or Assembly, and the bill number that amended the statute as these are the pieces of information you use to search for a compiled legislative history (illustrated in the next step).
Year: 2013
