Applicants must list a Nevada residence or Nevada State Bar Number on their application. A library card allows patrons to check out physical materials and access digital materials held on HeinOnline, VitalLaw, and our LexisNexis Digital Library.
To begin, go to the Nevada Legislature’s website to find the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS). This guide shows how to find the law’s text on the website. It’s best to use this site for checking legislative history because other websites, like Westlaw or Lexis Advance, don’t have all the details. You can move through the website by choosing chapters and sections to see.
When conducting Nevada legislative history research, it is recommended to use the NRS available on the Legislature's website, because the information on the Legislature's site is not fully reproduced in commercial databases like Westlaw or Lexis. After accessing the Nevada Revised Statutes on the Legislature's website, you can select the desired chapter and NRS section from the table of contents.
This guide will walk you through the process of finding the legislative history for NRS 209.4465. Below this text, we have reproduced NRS 209.4465 to demonstrate how the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) are presented on the Nevada Legislature's website.
